Powerball Winner Could Lose $50k

A Powerball winner from Delaware, USA could soon lose out on a fifty thousand dollar win because they have not come forward to claim their prize as of yet. The winning ticket in question was purchased from Delaware House Travel last May and the winner has around a week left in which to claim their winnings or they will lose it under local lottery laws. And because the prize is greater than $5,000 it must be claimed in person at the Delaware Lottery Office. There are also two other unclaimed prizes greater than $10,000 waiting to be claimed in Delaware, otherwise, the unclaimed prizes will be returned to the Delaware General Fund.
Biggest UK Lotto Win of the Year So Far
A UK Lotto player has come up with all six main numbers on Saturday 12th May’s lottery draw. “After two £9 million Lotto jackpot winners in the last couple of months, we now have a single ticket-holder who has banked a massive £21 million. All players are urged to check their tickets to see if they are a Lotto jackpot winner and don't worry - we have enough champagne on ice ready to celebrate," said Andy Carter, National Lottery spokesperson. The lucky winner does need to claim their prize within 180 days though, otherwise, the prize money will go into the Lottery Good Causes Fund.
Irish Luck in Lotto Jackpot
Not to be left out of the headlines Ireland has also had its biggest Lotto winner of the year, with a player coming forwards to claim last Saturday’s amazing €8.5 million jackpot win on the Irish Lottery draw. The winning ticket was bought from a service station in the Hill, Loughrea, County Galway. “This is the largest Lotto jackpot prize so far this year so it was fantastic that the ticket holder has got in touch so quickly. We are now making arrangements for the winner or winners to collect their prize over the coming weeks. This is the fourth Lotto jackpot to be won this year so far, with the four wins totalling over €25 million. We look forward to welcoming our latest Lotto winner into the Winner’s Room at our Abbey Street HQ."
